Marketers often face challenges from a rapidly changing market condition. Satisfying customers’ ever-rising and changing expectations, discovering customers’ current needs is a complex process. It involves translating the voice of customer into product features; translating the voice of the business into generating profits, through new and improved products; translating the voice of the engineers which deals with technical requirement and constraints into physical products. In fact, customer satisfaction and total quality management requires a company ability to accurately determine customer requirements and successfully transform these requirements into finished quality products. Customer satisfaction is considered to affect customer retention and therefore, profitability and competitiveness. This study is formulated the mathematical programming model to assist in pursuing two goals in product mix processes. These goals are the fitness of engineering characteristics and customer satisfaction, and the minimization of total costs. Since the two goals are the important performance indexes in product mix processes, in this model, we can also adjust the achievement level for these goals based on user’s preference. This provides decision maker the flexibility for the trade-off among different goals in various design scenarios. 陳明德 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 51 en_US
