The first part of this study used a 4,4’-Methylene bis(3-hydroxy-2-naphrhalenecarboxylate (MBHNC) as organic ligand and Tb(NO3)3•6H2O、Eu(NO3)3•6H2O、Sm(NO3)3•6H2O as metal ions to synthesize three isostructural mixed-metal compounds: {[Sm0.5/Eu0.5(MBHNC)2(DMSO)6]•DMSO}n (1) , {[Sm0.5/Tb0.5(MBHNC)2(DMSO)6]•DMSO}n (2) and {[Tb0.5/Eu0.5(MBHNC)3(DMSO)6]•DMSO}n (3). Additionally, we also use a 4-SBA ligand with lanthanide metal ions(Tb3+, Eu3+) to form two isostructural compounds: {K[Tb(4-SBA)2(H2O)] }n (4) and {K[(Eu0.5/Tb0.5)(4-SBA)2(H2O)] }n (5). Compound (1)~(3) and (5) are mixed-lanthanide metal-organic frameworks, exhibiting interesting luminescent properties, attributing to antenna effect and inter lanthanide energy transfer. The second part of this study is to use p-Carboxyphenyl arsenic acid (CPAA) and 1.10-phenanthroline as ligands and copper(II) ion, and mercury(II) ion as metal ions to form two isostructural coordination polymer compounds: {[Cu(HCPAA)(1,10-Phen)]}n•2H2O (6) and {[Hg(HCPAA)(1,10-Phen)]}n•4H2O (7).
