The hypothesis tests if the interviewer and applicant share similar characteristics; will this affect the interview content and outcome? Surveying samples were from fresh graduates and set a simulation interview. The study assumed that when parties have a high similarity in the interview it would be easier to understand, agree with each other and have a good interaction. The results from the study found that when the interviewer feel and perception of personality similarity between applicants. Applicant will have a higher rating, thereby affecting the result of the interview outcome.
