Description
Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 管理碩士在職專班 === 105 === Emergency medical services (EMS) account for the highest proportion of work in the three primary tasks of fire departments (i.e., fire prevention, disaster rescue, and EMS). In the face of considerably increasing EMS cases, the traditional paper-based prehospital records and subsequent manual data registry fail to satisfy the need of the current society that features technological applications. If the latest information technologies can be used to integrate dispatching systems with mobile device-based electronic prehospital records and facilitate real-time and rapid record and report in electronic forms, the EMS operating procedures can be simplified, workload reduced, and the overall performance and quality improved for personnel in the emergency command center, fire departments, on-site EMS, hospital, and EMS quality management. Thus, this study developed an EMS cloud system and explored the effectiveness of applying electronic prehospital records in EMS management. The proposed system was compared with previous operating procedures to determine its advantages and flaws, so as to propose suggestions for improving the information quality and efficiency of the system, thereby enhancing future EMS.
