Summary: | 碩士 === 元培醫事科技大學 === 醫學影像暨放射技術系碩士班 === 103 === With the gradual westernised lifestyle and increased middle age conceiving, it is observed that breast cancer occurrence falls between 40 to 50 years old in Taiwan, ten years younger than that of the United States and Europe. According to WHO, Taiwan has 52.8 cases of breast cancer for every hundred thousand people, ranking second in Asia just after Singapore.
The four most commonly seen cancers in Taiwan includes breast cancer, colorectal cancer, oral cancer and cervical cancer. In just the year 2012, death toll due to cancer hits forty-four thousand, with breast cancer having the fourth highest mortality rate in all cancers. It also at the same time have the highest incidence rate of all cancers in women. In New Taipei City alone, 756 women are diagnosed with breast cancer and 695 with cervical cancer in 2012. In the same year, the total death count of breast cancer and cervical cancer sums up to 415, the highest death count of cancer in women.
Osteoporosis is a metabolism disease of the bone which is probable in both genders. It often occurs in postmenopausal women and the risk increases with the lost of bone mass and calcium.
