It is also a folk symbol over generations among the gamblers of Malaysian Chinese. This folk book will be just a history as the time changes. The purpose of the study was to trace and sort out the history of “Cheefah” and lottery, understanding the cultural characteristics and connotation. Besides that, this study carried out literature reviews to apply the theory of cultural innovation and analyse the feasibility of cultural innovation with the dream book. The outcome of the analysis stage suggested that future design work should emphasize “expression” to insert contemporary value into traditional culture and achieve sustainability of culture. This exploration study also built foundation for the design stage, giving principles of strategic development. The principles were as following. 1. To consider the current trend when it comes to design stage. 2. To combine “Chinese Duo-Pek-Kong” dream book with the lottery gambling culture and apply this concept into contemporary game design. 3. To express product’s new ethos as sustainability development. Based on these principles, the researchers outlined the design plan and carried out creative product design. The study picked a series of products as medium and ‘Blossoming Numbers’ was given as a brand name. It is hoped that these creative product design would bring out the cultural characteristics of the dream book to enable today’s youngsters experiencing this folk culture and then achieve sustainability of culture.
