In order to improve the treatment efficiency and reduce the treatment cost, people to dehydration as the main treatment approach. In this study, the mechanical filter press dehydration machine as the main body combined with the electric infiltration drying dehydration equipment to transform the design. By a number of experimental tests to find out the best operating parameters, and finally through the sludge moisture content changes and energy consumption results, to assess the future of the experimental machine used in the field of feasibility. The research results showed that: (1) In the case of sludge dewatering, the effect is much better than that of pure pressurization. In addition, in the case of the same processing area, higher voltage gradient, thicker sludge, the better the dewatering effect, but its promotion is only applicable to the sludge dewatering limit. (2) Sludge thickness of 2 cm, pressure time of 10 min, applied pressure of 6,000 kPa, electro-osmotic time of 10 min, voltage gradient of 50 V / cm for the best operating parameters of this study, under this condition can be sludge water content from 80% to 48.9%. (3) When the voltage gradient is 10 to 40 V / cm, the current drops rapidly after reaching the maximum value within 10 sec. In addition to the voltage gradient of 50 V / cm. The higher voltage gradient, the trend will more obvious downward. And more energy consumption, the sludge dewatering rate will be better. (4) Through the SEM and EDS analysis, it was found that the surface structure of the sludge after the electro-osmotic treatment was destroyed, so that the water can be removed more efficiently. And the main constituent elements of the organic sludge samples were all C, O and Si. (5) Under the conditions of sludge thickness of 2 cm, pressure time of 10 min, applied pressure of 6,000 kPa, electro-osmotic time of 8 min and voltage gradient of 50 V / cm, the organic sludge moisture content can be increased from 80% Down to 49.7%, and reduce the 60.2% of the clearance costs (net cost savings of 4,117 NTD / ton). It is the most cost-effective operating conditions for the study. (6) Compared with the other sludge drying and dewatering equipment on the market, this research has many advantages, so the final net cost savings relatively higher.
