Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 應用外語系 === 105 === The purpose of the study is to explore the relationships between family educational resources and the English achievement of junior high school students.Family educational resources comprise family background, family cultural capital, and family social capital. The investigation started with a questionnaire survey which was completed by 184 ninth-grade students who just participated in the Comprehensive Assessment of Program of Junior High School Students. The study focused on the correlation of family educational resources and English achievement. Using survey of the quantitative study, three school were selected in different regions, rural country, suburban, and metro city. The research results are summarized as follows: 1. There were significant effects between family background and English achievement. 2. There were significant effects between family cultural capital and English achievement. 3. There were significant relationships between family social capital and English achievement. Regarding to the results of the findings, the researcher provided suggestions for educational administration institutions and parents. Also, discussion addressed to further researchers associated with family educational resources was provided in the study.
