The traditional sliding mode control has the advantages of good transient response and excellent robustness. Howerver it has a seriously chattering problem. While Second-Order Sliding Mode has good anti-interference ability and it can reduce chattering problem and control amount. This thesis also presents Flux-Weakening control for synchronous reluctance motors, which can reduce the back electromagnetic field of the rotor for increasing the rotor speed larger than the rated speed.
