Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 電子工程系 === 105 === A tunable-gain optical receiver design for indoor optical wireless transmission systems is realized in a TSMC 0.18μm 1P6M CMOS technology.A feedback TIA comprising a feedforward current amplifier (CA-TIA) convert the input current signal into an output voltage signal. In order to achieve variable gain and eliminate differential output offset, variable gain amplifiers and DC offset cancellation networks are employed in the optical receivers. A CMOS optical receiver of this thesis has a variable-gain range from 62.1dBΩ to 97.8dBΩ. With a 0.5pF Photodiode Capacitance, f-3dB is 1.37GHz at its maximum gain, and 1.61GHz at its minimum gain. Using a 1.8V power supply voltage, the optical receiver consumes only 37.13mW of power. The active area is 379μm×184.5μm.
