Summary: | 碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 工業設計系 === 105 === With the advancement of technology and electronics, computers or handheld mobile devices can be possible to control and open the software through the on-screen icons. And the software with the same function usually with many different competitors competing, therefore a good icon design is not only to provide users with a good operating experience, but also to attract users in the loading interface in the selection of the will. In order to make the icon more attention, and stand out in crowded, this study will be divided into three stages of the experiment: (1) icons collect, attention and eye tracking related literature, and electronic products in the common icon, and classify 2D plane icon design techniques and 3D stereoscopic icon design techniques (2) turns the icon design techniques into the experimental sample, the use of equipment to track the participants of the staring time, gaze and attention subjective feelings; (3) finishing the experimental results, and Analyze the factors that attract visual attention.
Experimental design will be divided into frames, depth, constitute the three categories. Outer frame is divided into two parts : outside and no frame.The depth part is divided into three parts: plane, convex representation and three-dimensional representation. The composition is divided into two types: line composition and surface composition; the total of 12 differentkinds of icon expression design techniques. the experimental results are divided into(1)12 kinds of icons of visual attention(2)The frame shows the visual attention(3) Depth performs visual attention (4) constitution performs the visual attention. The experimental results are divided into above three different composition of the icon, used to analyze the impact the factor of the icon visual attention .
The results show that (1) by the 12 icons of visual attention, we can see that the three-dimensional, surface composition to attract more attention; (2) the performance of the frame is not different. You can know that there is no frame or with frame for the viewer is not important, but the subject of the icon and the content is more important. (3) the depth of the performance has the significant differences in the three-dimensional performance and more access to the objects in real life, the experimental results found that visual attention is higher than convex performance and flat performance; (4) The area of the surface composition performance is more attractive to the viewer's visual attention.
In this study, the icon design method is divided into 12 elements, through the eye tracking to understand the characteristics of attracting visual attention. A good icon not only to attract the user's attention, but also improve the user's choice of icons. For the electronic software , it can also increase the utilization rate and business opportunities, I hope that the results can be used as a future basis for the design of related industries.
