In everyday life, the way to the school, indoor decorator and living in an alien environment such as human interaction with the surrounding environment. They all have a great association with spatial cognitive ability. The different ways of presenting, sequentially/simultaneous, were manipulated to explore the VWM in the present study. This study will examine how VWM integrates sequentially/simultaneous presented stimuli by focusing on the role of Gestalt principles, which are important organizing principles in perceptual integration. This study used the level of Gestalt cues among 3-5 sequentially/simultaneous presented objects that were memorized. The Gestalt principle could not emerge until all the objects appeared. The purpose of this study was to explore the differences in visual cognition of spatial design trainee under different visual perception conditions. The present study classified the spatial design trainee into different cognitive style groups (field-independent and field-dependent) by Group Embeded Figures Test(GEFT). Additionally, the present study also explored their differences in VWM and spatial organization ability. Three experiments were used in the present study: visual information task(VIT), visual information integration task(VIIT) and visual information recognition task(VIRT), respectively. Reaction times and accuracy are collected. The result of experiment 1 was that for different cognitive styles and different brightness contrast have differences on memory capacity in visual information task. For different presenting conditions, results of experiment 2 and experiment 3 are found that field-independent participants have greater capacity and faster response to the both sequential condition and simultaneous condition. In the aspect of ISI and Set-Size, this study also found that with increase of ISI would have better visual performance of visual stimulus integration. The decrease of set size would also have the better performance of visual stimulus recognition. The results of this study may provide to other researchers as a tool of VWM capacity of training and spatial organization research related to the reference in the future.
