Prior to the formal study, a preliminary study of was performed to determine the appropriateness of the interview guidelines. The trustworthiness of the study was established according to the Lincoln and Cuba’s (1985) principles of credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The research results indicated that elder people who received All-in-One services have experienced a self-empowering in life. They exhibit a renewed positive attitude and responsibility towards life, and also hoped to maintain the abilities of independent living. This self-empowerment experience consist the following five themes: (1) proactive attitude towards life; (2) lifestyle adjustments; (3) the care services to aid in physical and mental well-being; (4) love and gratitude toward their children; and (5) obtain new energy from social interactions. The results of this study can provide nurses with more knowledge regarding the experiences of elders with disabilities. The use of All-in-One services was decremented with positive effects for the elders in restoring their healthy independent living abilities. These results can be applied to nursing care planning to effectively helping the elders in having comfortable physical and family living conditions in their later years.
