This autoethnography is a limited - edition meal released during the specific time of my life in graduate school. The dialogue-style text, from Ellis and Bochner, was employed to present its various tastes. A “Typical Taekwondo class” explores the research question: “What was my experience about Taekwondo class?”; and then three themes, namely, a sense of accomplishment, choices, and identity, were the answers to the other: “What did the specialty class of Taekwondo mean to me?”; finally, a self-created poem served as my reflections. The Taekwondo class content includes the bitterness of frustration when lagging behind during training, the sweetness of being taken care of by the junior classmates, the saltiness of the hardships from the training, the refreshing taste of a sense of accomplishment acquired, the silky texture of being moved by recognition from the junior classmates, the spiciness of self-challenge, the greasiness of fatigue by a long journey, the pungent overflowing sweatiness, and the solid feel after each training. All these shall remain forever through autoethnography. Kao, Li-Chuan 高麗娟 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 103 zh-TW |
