Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 視覺藝術學系 === 105 === People seem to live in a huge environment as a small molecule in this social system. When the molecules group into a certain quantity, they will generate a kinetic force that drives and changes energy, and to provide power for growth. I try to transform this concept into visual images through painting by taking animals or biological creatures as the subject matters, and by showing their attitudes in a variety of environments to reflect the patterns of people’s daily lives. The ‘‘Visualization of the Relationships between Clusters’’ series comprises four subseries: (1) ‘‘Hope,’’ (2) ‘‘Exploration and pursuit,’’ (3) ‘‘Contradiction and desire’’ and (4) ‘‘Growth.’’ By tracing the transitions along the course of life, and by using the images of animals and biological forms, I demonstrate my personal understanding of the society. The first part of this thesis describes the creative origin of the “Visualization of the Relationships between Clusters” series, which reflects on how the modern life exerts its impacts on me and my feelings about the people, things and things. I try to use painting to express these sensory emotions. The second part discusses the artworks of the four subseries of the “Visualization of the Relationships between Clusters” series, analyzing the painting process of each and every painting. The third part interprets the origins and meanings of the “Visualization of the Relationships between Clusters” series by referring to the art historical inspirations and aesthetic perceptions. The fourth part summarizes the journey of the mind and concludes with a self-reflection.
