Recently, the age of participants in inline skating has dropped and such sport has also become one of the most popular activities for parents when it comes to choose the extracurricular activities for their children. It is worth to discuss the value of preschool children participating inline skating, as the preschool children regularly participate in this sports. The study attempted to investigate the physical fitness of inline skating participating in preschool children, also to compare the physical fitness differences between preschool children who participate in inline skating the norm 5-year-old children of Taipei City. The study also tried to find whether the participating hours and family accompany would have effects on the physical fitness of inline skating participating preschool children.Participants were purposively sampled from 5-year-old children who participating inline skating children at least 30 hours. One hundred and seventy five which included 86 males and 89 female.After received the agreement their parents, 6 items Physical fitness assessment were administrated contained BMI, flexibility, explosive force, muscular endurance, balance, and coordination. Data collected were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, and Pearson’s product-moment correlation. The research results were: 1.Male preschool children who participated in inline skating showed significant differences in flexibility, explosive force, and muscular endurance compared the norm with 5-year-old children of Taipei City; while female showed significant differentce only in explosive force. 2.Participating hours had a significant positive relationship with explosive force and balance. 3. Whether family participating in inline skating didn’t show physical fitness difference. The conclusions as belowed: 1.Male preschool children who participated in inline skating had better performance in flexibility, explosive force, and muscular endurance. Females had better performance in explosive force than the 5 years old children of Taipei City. 2. The longer participating in inline skating hours, the better muscular power and balance they have.
