School Teachers Going Through Burnout
Abstract
The study is expected that through the“ burnout” experiences’ share of elementary school teachers, it could be understood their tracks from forming , consciousness to going through burnout and the future happened change and the influence for themselves and their professional jobs. This study invites four female elementary school teachers who have already worked in teaching domain about twenty years and have suffered bournout as the research-participators. Accoring to their subjective experiences with the narrative research way structures the story-text. And with the form of 「the whole-contents」analyzes the story-text and show their personal important themes.
According to the research about the tracks that these 4 elementary school teachers go through the job burnout, it finds that they all go through 3 stages: 1. high expect 2. the job burnout 3. the life change. The job burnout is formed due to the mutual interwaved factors through the interaction between the individual and the environment. The personal self condition and the job environment factor are worth to be noticed to prevent or to go through the job burnout. According to their experience, the main tatics of going through burnout including: 1. self-adaptation 2.active changing environment resources to solve the situation 3.They are good at using the support system. Finally, according to the research finding, it offers the suggestions about adaptation and preventing burnout.
