The imbalance of autonomic nervous system would result in abnormalities of the system, which is harmful to health. Therefore aromatherapy and massage are important options for modern relaxation. This study focused on the activity of human autonomic nervous system effected by aromatherapy using lemon essential oil and/or meridian acupressure. Subjects were 36 adults tested for 8 times in a month to compare the changes of the autonomic nervous activity among “simple meridian acupressure,” “simple aromatherapy” and “aromatherapy with meridian acupressure.” The results showed that “simple meridian acupressure” and “aromatherapy with meridian acupressure” significantly increased the activity of parasympathetic nerves (HF%), while “simple aromatherapy” can increase the activity of sympathetic nerves (LF%). In the “simple meridian acupressure” tests, we did not observe significant change in the overall energy (total power TP), however, “simple aromatherapy” and “aromatherapy with meridian acupressure” can significant improve the overall energy. 莊琮凱 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 59 zh-TW
