Description
Summary:碩士 === 大同大學 === 工業設計學系(所) === 105 === Signage system provides people with important identification information and can be regarded as a bridge and media connected with spaces. In the design text description and graphics related to the environmental spaces are used for user friendly. Visitors can explore the spaces with the help of the signage system. And the information about spaces can also be presented to visitors through the system, which minimizes the obstables due to different languages providing a barrierless environment between spaces and visitors. This paper is based on the researches as collected and aims to categorize the signage system , identifications of signs and related literatures and concepts existing in domestic docments. In addition, this paper includes analysis on the Japanese architectural features of Chih-Sheng Memorial Hall, and further studies of the characteristics of layout design and life style of buildings with western-Japanese style. It applies with the architecture / garden elements and vocabulary in the design and presents a signage system suitable for Chih-Sheng Memorial Hall in a inductive and deductive way. In line with this concept, the current signage system can be improved and re-present the memories of the history of Chih-Sheng Memorial Hall, and easier for visitors to identify the signs. This study may be used as a reference of signage design for sign designers or future researcher and also be applied to signage design for buildings with western-Japanese style or the like.
