Summary:碩士 === 稻江科技暨管理學院 === 休閒遊憩管理學系碩士在職專班 === 105 === The purpose of this study is to find out the members participation motivations and the operating mode of Taipei City Teachers Symphonic Band, additionally, its function and contribution in music education at all levels of schools. In this study, Taipei City Teachers Symphonic Band is used as the research object, through the researcher’s participation observation, semi-structured interviews, the inquiries and the analyses of related literature of domestic and foreign researches in amateur bands. I want to know if the participation motivations could promote and increase the leisure motivations of the members, and then develop its operating model so that Taipei City Teachers Symphonic Band can operate sustainably and doesn’t fall. According to the purpose and social responsibility of the band, it has committed itself to promotion of music education at all levels of schools and engaged in various types of music activities since its foundation. Its aim is to assist the music societies at all levels of schools, to develop continuously and operate sustainably. The band is devoted to cultivating people’s interests and levels of music appreciation, expanding their social connectedness, relieving the stress at work, increasing the leisure function. In addition, the band enhance the music-loving atmosphere,the function and contribution of cultural inheritance.
