Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 舞蹈研究所理論組 === 105 === Using embodiment as a paradigm as a research method for studying personal experiences in Legend Lin Dance Workshop, this thesis demonstrates the process and the key points of the embodiment of Guan: viewing more closely on the self and the other, the body and the mind .
Through methodological approach of field research, in-depth interviews, and focusing on personal experiences, this research looks into the series of course structure and movement practices of the Legend Lin Dance Workshop.
By examining the different level courses and variety of activities taught in the Workshop, the efficacy and meaning of personal experience of the practitioners becomes understood, including how they find embodiment not only in class but also in daily life.
The results revealed that the key elements of the embodiment of Guan are: body alignment knowledge, repetitive “Wou-Gou Technique” movement practicing, and series of body aware processes. These vivid body alignment and practices not only connect the philosophical embodiment but also correspond to the aesthetics of Legend Lin Dance Theatre.
In addition, the paper suggest another viewpoint between performance and audience, enhancing the understanding of viewing the details of the performers’ bodies.
