The thesis is divided into a preface and four chapters. The purpose of the preface is to reveal the tiny traces of life which are often forgotten. By recording these daily trivia, we focus again the insignificant fragments of life. The first chapter is divided into three sections to construct the background and motivation of my works from different angles, including the calmness of nature, the exhaustion of people in the contemporary society, and the fragility of life that I have been through myself. Through these backgrounds, I state my attitude toward inevitable flaws of life. The second chapter discusses the meaning of time in the contemporary society, as well as the logic of treatment of "autoimmune disease", and my own physical function rehabilitation experience. Through what mentioned above, this chapter discusses the meaning of weakness, defect, boredom, uselessness, and how this meaning has been translated into visual works. The third chapter goes in deep about the process and methods of my works, including the slowness of using the ink, the characteristics of traditional paper and ink, and my personal visual vocabulary without the burden from the traditional Chinese painting history. All in all, I expound that whether goodness or badness are simply part of the traces of life, they are all the same, equally important and equally insignificant. In the last chapter, I elaborate my idea of defect and stains of the living in the exhausted contemporary society through introducing my own works. By showing irrelevant eternity, irrelevant niche, irrelevant art, I intend to show and see the true imperfect appearance of usual life. CHAO, YU-HSIU 趙宇脩 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 45 zh-TW |

碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 美術學系碩(博)士班 === 105 === This narrative thesis introduces a series of visual plane works by the traditional Chinese ink painting and calligraphy materials that are based on the scattered sand-like ordinary observation, experience and reading of my life.
