It included the motivations of the visually impaired people of participating in the choir, how to start to learn, how to develop rhythm, melody, harmony and other musical abilities, and to overcome the difficulties during the whole process. In addition, the aims of this study focused on how the difference in teaching between the blind and low vision who cannot see the command from instruction methods when the instructor of the choir in the visually impairment carried out teaching and how accompaniment teacher assisted the conductor to interact with the members, such as the change and influence on the life after joined the visually impaired choir, the difficulties and solutions encountered in the performance of the choir, and the social connections and functions of the visually impaired choir, etc. A case study is explored the process of developing musical interest of the visually impaired from the Siloam Visually Impaired Choir, which is affiliated to Suang Lien Presbyterian Church in Taipei.The results of this study can contribute on people understanding the relationships between the visually impairment & blindness groups and music. And further to any related study of the visually impaired music groups is to provide a reference.
