Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺南藝術大學 === 應用藝術研究所 === 105 === This paper records the fuzzy consciousness that is an integral part of the meter and rhythm that inform the repetition of the raising process. It is the combination of this consciousness, memory and soul that brings to mind the outlines and lines of living things, revealing in the metal what is concealed inside.
This paper is divided into three chapters: The first part of the first chapter “Beyond the Horizon” examines my feelings and desire to explore the unknown/imagination, explaining my drive to look far into the distance and search for other places. The second half of the chapter focuses on methodology and repeated action, reflecting on the rhythmic relationship between raising, metal and the artist. Chapter two is titled “Floating and Indistinct” and depicts the sense of swaying and floating experienced when one physically and intensely interacts with metal to craft a different inner space. The third chapter, “Remnants,” attempts to probe the depths of memory, focusing on the raising and enamel in works as a vehicle to call forth the spirit hidden within.
Key Words: Metal work, raising, enamel, shell
