The SLAffinity surfaces were characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). For the clinical success of dental implant treatments, it is important to evaluate the magnitude and location of the maximum stresses. Stress analysis was performed using 3-D models constructed using a computer-aided program. Six patients were enrolled in a clinical trial. Each patient received one SLAffinity implant in the mandible. Of these six patients, three received SB cell therapy in addition to the SLAffinity-treated implant. Resonance frequency analysis (RFA) and computed tomography (CT) were performed at 3 time points; 1, 2, and 4 months after implant treatment. Our results indicate that the additional SB cell therapy significantly promotes early osseointegration, especially in the early stages of bone tissue remodeling. SB cell therapy also facilitates efficient stress transfer in SLAffinity dental implants. SLAffinity implants proved to be a clinical success over the 4-month period as well.
