The research adopted questionnaire construction analysis, which sampled teachers from 3 professional groups of Electrical Engineering and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Power Mechanical Engineering. With proportionate stratified and cluster sampling, total samples were 584 and the valid samples were 501, with effective recovery rate of 85.79%. Statistical approaches, such as descriptive statistical analysis, one sample t test, independent sample t test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson product-moment correlation, were taken to further analyze the data. According to the findings, the study proposed the performances of teachers in public vocational industrial high schools as follows. 1. The overall perception of organizational climate is at high-intermediate level, with the aspect, “Actions supported by the chairmen of the department,” taking the lead. 2. Perception of organizational climate varies significantly in professional groups and in sizes of schools. 3. The competence of professional growth is at high-intermediate level, with the aspect, “Professional Attitude,” topping the rest. 4. Competence of professional growth varies in school locations. 5. The perception of organizational climate is of great relevance to the competence of professional growth. Based on the research, the study suggests constructive advice in an attempt to help teachers, chairmen of departments and administration in vocational industrial high school. 劉曉芬 學位論文 ; thesis 150
