Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 土木工程系土木與防災碩士班(碩士在職專班) === 105 === Taiwan is located at the junction of the Eurasian plate and the Philippine Sea plate, which is a tropical Pacific earthquake belt that causes earthquakes every year due to the collision of the tectonic plates. Due to its frequent earthquakes, damaging building and roads are unavoidable. Therefore, the assessment of the seismic capacity of buildings has been paid more and more attention to in recent years, and the methods and processes of preliminary assessment and detailed evaluation of building seismic capacity have become more and more complete. The seismic capacity of hospital building structures is very crucial and need a thorough discussion on it, since it is a dispensable structure at the time of earthquake and after earthquakes too. At present, the detailed evaluation method of seismic capacity of domestic structure is based on structural performance, and the more commonly used method is static non-linear pushover analysis, which depend on a good setting of plastic hinge characteristic of the building components which in turn affect the accuracy of the analysis result. In this paper seismic evaluation of reinforced concrete building (SERCB) is used to calculate plastic hinge. To explore its advantages and disadvantages, for this purpose a case study of a hospital building is considered, the current situation and retrofitting of the building is analysed and compared to explore the strength and weaknesses of diferent retrofitting construction methods.
