Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 機電整合研究所 === 105 === Rowing machine, which involves the whole body, can train cardiopulmonary function and decreasing the impact to knees and ankles. So rowing machine provide an outstanding way to increase fitness by burning calories and building muscle in a safe, low-impact way. Rowing machine sold in market can be divided into three types: (1) wind resistance, (2) magnetorheological resistance, and (3) water resistance. Among them, the simulation of water resistance type is the best, but the frequency of rowing results in high resistance difference to affect the smooth action. This research is innovative design of the water-resistant rowing machine. Slider-crank mechanism is used to achieve the overall design. User can control the adjustment rod up and down to rotate the fan to achieve the function of adjusting resistance. In this study, first the related literature and patent of rowing machine have been collected for reference. Second, establish the 3D model by using CAD software. And then interference check and action simulation were used to ensure this design operate smoothly. Finally, CAE software was employed for structural stress analysis to ensure strength for safety usage. The related results of this research have been filed for patent application.
