While the lithium battery has been used for a period of time, the life cycle of battery will be decreased due to the temperature rising caused by charging. In some previous studies, the sinusoidal charging method for lithium batteries can significantly reduce the temperature rise. In addition, charging balance can be achieved without additional charging equalization circuit for series-connected batteries. Therefore, this study designs and implements the charging strategy with positive and negative sinusoidal waveforms and a rest time meanwhile, and applies the developed charging method to the bi-directional charger circuit for decreasing the temperature rising and voltage unbalance during charging. Texas Instruments’ DSP TMS320F28035 is utilized as the control core in this thesis to achieve the desired charging method and associated digital control for the bi-directional converter. In the thesis, a bi-directional converter is used as the power circuit of charger and the charging strategy mentioned in this study is implemented by DSP28035 to control the circuit of charger. Two series-connected lithium batteries is tested to verify the implemented sinusoidal can reduce the temperature rising caused by the charging of series-connected batteries and the charging imbalance phenomenon can be eliminated to extend the battery lifetime. 歐勝源 學位論文 ; thesis 0
