But, this also causes the environmental pollution. Nowadays, all the vehicle manufacturer are trying to protect the environment by increasing the efficiency and decreasing the pollution to achieve sustainable development.
This research developed a new variable engine valve with magneto-rheological fluid technology. Because the valve needed bigger volume, this research used a passive buffer spring and designed a rocker arm to make the valve having variable valve timing and lift.
The research divided into three parts, the first, we simulated the force of the springs and the structure. The second part, we simulated the magnetic field to calculate the force of the magneto-rheological fluid. The simulation results indicated that the valve could reach the variable valve timing and lift. The third part, we tested the valve and analyzed it by test platform. Finally, the results proved that the new valve is highly efficient and has low energy consumption.
