With the analysis of the cylinder pressure, it is known that the burning condition inside the engine is whether complete or not. In order to complement our research team in the development of internal combustion engine, this study uses the existing experimental equipment, with Matlab / Simulink and NI data acquisition card, set up a high-speed cylinder pressure data acquisition system. First, for the TDC(top dead center), the existing shaft encoder is used for a long time, the Z phase (output once per revolution) can’t output stably, this study uses the crankshaft position sensor to determine the engine TDC position. Due to the angle of the cylinder pressure TDC position and the real piston top dead center position have the angle error or TDC error. So refer to the reference paper, the TDC position have been corrected. And use the encoder with TDC positions to do the post-processing method to calculate the corresponding crank angle corresponding to the cylinder pressure. In this study, a domestic scooter engine is set as the target engine, the test conditions are as follow, motoring, engine speed at 4000rpm in LBT (Leanest mixture for Best Torque) and stoichiometric air fuel ratio condition and the comparison with the engine motoring to verify that the acquisition system can successfully acquire the cylinder pressure signal and use it in the combustion analysis.
