EGCG has recently been used in skin care products, so that products can be anti-inflammatory and anti-aging effect. EGCG is one of the many components of catechins, but also the highest content of EGCG. But EGCG easily oxidized discoloration, and stored in high temperature or alkaline environment, there is a downward trend in concentration. This study observed EGCG prepared in sodium phosphate dibasic, the concentration decreased significantly, on the other hand, if EGCG prepared in Calcium chloride or EDTA-2Na, stored in 40 degrees high temperature environment, the concentration did not show a significant downward trend. This study used high performance liquid (HPLC) with UV detector (UVD), observed EGCG in different storage environment, or add other substances after the concentration of the trend, and prepared a standard curve by external standard method to quantify the concentration of EGCG.
