Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 化學工程研究所 === 105 === This thesis reports the synthesis of a series of dicarboxamide-cored compounds end-capped with two triphenylamine (TPA), N-phenylcarbazole (NPC) or N-phenylphenothiazine (NPPT) groups from the condensation reactions of TPA-, NPC-, or NPPT-containing mono-amine and mono-carboxylic acid compounds with terephthalic acid, iosphthalic acid, p-phenylenediamine, and m-phenylenediamine, respectively. The effects of the kind of terminal group and orientation of the amide linkage on the electrochemistry and electropolymerization properties of these dicarboxamides were investigated. Some of the dicarboxamides could be electropolymerized into robust polyamide films on the ITO-glass substrate. The electro-generated polymer films exhibited reversible electrochemical oxidation process and obvious electrochromic characteristics. The electrochromic properties of the electrodeposited polymer films were evaluated by the spectroelectrochemical and electrochromic switching studies.
