This study adopted qualitative method to collect data by interviews. Six participants are elementary and middle schools female teachers, who are married and have children of their own. The findings showed female teachers' self-awareness of being a teacher and a mother are interrelated. The roles of being a teacher and a mother can be exchanged through students' feedback; on one hand, female teachers can learn how to be a good mother. Female teachers will slow down their pace and wait for their students, adjust their attitude and thoughts, and apply their professional knowledge in raising their children. On the other hand, female teachers realize that students' grades cannot present everything. Female teachers are more willing to use further open-minded attitude toward their students’ learning. Through others' reminders, female teachers can be a better mother when they exchange their roles and isolate their feelings. Moreover, female teachers are aware of pressure from both being a teacher and a mother, such as that their children’s behavior will be examined extremely but they cannot react their inner emotion. Some interviewed female teachers have deep thoughts on gender issues. This present study shows: Several the interviewed female teachers chose to stop working and stayed at home to raise their children when there is a conflict between their family and their work, because these female teachers do not have enough time for being as a teacher and a mother at the same time. To deal with the time issue, several participants looked for other resources to reduce their pressure when their roles of being a mother and a teacher conflicted. Finally, some suggestions for elementary school and middle school female teachers, schools, and further researchers are offered based on the findings this study.
