Description
Summary:碩士 === 東海大學 === 建築學系 === 105 === In the time that it takes to live a life we are expected to face the power of changes in all its forms, and it's the reaction to this changes what will gently sculpt our behaviors. But a few times in a lifetime this alterations on the gentle run of events take an unexpected shift. The proposal will try to generate new space typologies to shelter the needs of those who need to overcome a trauma from the past or soften the traumatic experience they have to be facing at the present time. Also, it will try to provide the needful experience to prepare them to face the future hardships of life. Continuing with this purpose of helping to get over the bitter experiences, some empty spots immersed in the Taichung city fabric will be intervened. The design will try to introduce on the city fabric and grid a series of interconnected spaces which should made the users feel the emotions and controlled anxieties needed during the process of overcoming a trauma. On one way this spaces will serve as a supporting feature for the medical treatment but also will be helpful for those whose only purpose is to learn how to deal with certain feelings or experiences. The way of projecting this spaces will be purely architectonic looking for textures, proportions, lighting, reverberations that can help in the phenomenological understanding of spaces and the sensory experience of architecture that is needed on both overcoming and preparation processes.
