A Study of The Relationship Between Environmental Perception, Satisfaction and Behavioral Intention of Sun Moon Lake Trail Tourists

碩士 === 亞洲大學 === 休閒與遊憩管理學系碩士在職專班 === 105 === Sun Moon Lake is always a hot tourists’ spot, regardless of local or foreign. Tourists enjoy its nearby trails. However documents related to its trails are scarce. Therefore this research studies Han Bi trail, Enwu Temple stairway trail, Frog trail and Ci’en Pagoda trail of Sun Moon Lake, investigating environmental perception, satisfaction and behavioral intention of tourists toward these trails, discussing relationships of these three factors, and further understanding advantages and disadvantages of Sun Moon Lake trails. This research was done by questionnaires handed out to tourists at entrance and exit of these trails during off hours and weekends from May 28 to June 26, 2016. Totally 406 questionnaires were handed out, 374 questionnaires received and 38 questionnaires invalid. The effectiveness of questionnaire is 92%. Results from this research indicate: 1.Tourists with different characteristics (age, income and frequency) show different environmental perception, satisfaction and behavioral intention. 2.Tourists show the most positive environmental perception, satisfaction, and behavioral intention toward Ci’en Pagoda trail, the lowest to Enwu Temple trail. 3.Besides satisfaction of environmental management, three facets of tourist’s environmental perception have a positive effect on satisfaction of substance environment, social environment and overall environment. 4.Besides satisfaction of environmental management, satisfaction of substance environment, social environment and overall environment have a significant positive effect on tourist’ behavioral intention. 5.The four facets of environmental perception also have a significant positive effect on tourist’s behavioral intention. 6.Tourists regard there is insufficient parking space for trails’ visit, and there is a need to improve safety, education and cleanness of the trails.
