Additionally, under the influence of the policy “One County/City One Feature; One Town One Product,” each county, city or township government integrated local cultures, industries, landscapes and other resources to promote their own festival activities combining local cultures and industries to enhance the development of local tourism industry. In 2006, Fangshan Township Office, Pingtung County organized the first Fangshan mango festival activity to promote the most important local specialty, mangoes, of Fangshan Township, Pingtung County in summer. The study aimed to probe into community residents' perspectives on four aspects: affective identification, participative behavior, community economic development and community environmental development with the method of quantitative research. The study obtained the following conclusions for the four hypotheses it had proposed based on empirical research results: The research adopted the questionnaire survey method and used stratified random sampling to give out 120 questionnaires were given out to four villages in Fangshan Township, 104 valid questionnaires were received. We used the SPSS Statistical Software to carry out statistical analysis on the data, where we then carried out analysis in accordance with the research objectives of this research. We obtained the following conclusions in this research: I. Analyze the residents’ degree of identification towards Fangshan Mango Festival. Through analysis, we discovered that there were significant differences in the emotional identification only among community residents with different education levels. II. Understand the residents’ participation behavior in Fangshan Mango Festival. Through analysis, we discovered that the residents who participate in the work of community organizations had more participation behavior. There were significant differences in participation behavior of residents in different residential regions; the residents of Jialu Village had higher participation than those of Shanyu Village and the residents of Fenggang Village had higher participation than those of Shanyu Village. There were also significant differences in participation behavior of residents with different education levels. III. Explore the benefits of Fangshan Mango Festival towards the development of the community. Through analysis, we discovered that the residents who participate in the work of community organizations believe that the Festival can help promote the economic development in the community. There were significant differences in the identification of the economic development in the community among residents of different residential regions. There were significant differences in the identification of the economic development in the community among residents with different education levels.
