Summary: | 碩士 === 大仁科技大學 === 食品科技研究所 === 105 === This study was designed to evaluate the current status of the student’s service quality expectation and satisfaction of school lunch in Pingtung County Chung Wen Junior High School via questionnaire method.
The design of this research was based on the widely accepted SERVQUAL template in order to analyze the practical perspectives of school lunch service quality. Five attributes, including administrative aspects, food hygiene & safety, food delivery service, menu design and life education. Among 270 collected questionnaires, 255 were valid after ruling out 15 invalid ones (valid: 94.4%). The results were shown below:
The first, the average score of students’ service quality expectation of school lunch was 4.19, belonging to high-score group. Furthermore, the seventh grade students and females had higher expectations. Overall, among the five attributes, results showed that food hygiene & safety was the most crucial factor for all students.
The second, the average score of students’ service quality satisfaction of school lunch was 3.94, which was also above the average. Like previous results, the seventh grade students and females had overall higher satisfaction. Among five attributes, food delivery service was voted as highest score for satisfaction evaluation.
The third, there is only one (life education) out of five attributes had the higher score of satisfaction than the expectation.
The fourth, a significant positive correlation was observed between over-all expectationand satisfaction (r=0.39, p<0.01).
The result of this study can be a good reference for other schools, which also have lunch service and seek to improve it.
