In the era of traditional media, a performer or an entertainer has to get noticed and gain popularity through television or news reports. However, as the rise of social media that provides visualized and vocalized platforms, each user can own a unique space to show oneself which is exactly what happens to more and more users right now. As long as one aspires to show him/herself and is not shy away from expressing the opinions, s/he can build a group of followers as a celebrity. This research tries to apply the perspective of “digital content curation”, select famous Facebook personalities in Taiwan as subjects, perform an analysis of the post content on the fan base’s websites and semi-structured interviews to discuss the way and the thought of Internet celebrities on generating content and articles. At the same time, the study aims to discern relevant academic and general backgrounds and production experiences; based on different experiences and backgrounds, various and particular genres of texts are categorized. This study adopts the method of purposive sampling to select qualified Internet celebrities as subjects, conducts semi-structured interviews, carries out coding and Facebook text genre categorization and analysis from the interviews of six Internet personalities. The research summarized the production principles of the post content by the cyberstars based on five general procedures and structures. The association between the academic backgrounds of the cyberstars and becoming an Internet sensation overnight was not found. Having managed a stable fan base is helpful for becoming an Internet personality. It is important to note that the resources of an Internet personality vary according to the way that made him/her famous overnight. Therefore, the production of each Internet celebrity also varies in terms of topic selection, organizing and offering points of view, posting techniques, etc. By summing up the findings mentioned above, this study concludes a production workflow and structure of the content posts by the Internet celebrities for the references of cyberstar wannabes and media editors. In addition, the Internet celebrities can respond to the production differences due to different experiences and backgrounds of becoming famous overnight. Lastly, the findings also provide references for future research on the Internet celebrities. Mindy Hung 洪敏莉 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 95 zh-TW |
