| Summary: | 碩士 === 南臺科技大學 === 休閒事業管理系 === 105 === Due to the village renewal, the establishment of Tainan Science Park and lots of new buildings, Xuzhonging is now different from what it used to be. The study aims at Xuzhonging, which is located in Anding District. The data is analyzed mainly with the quantitative method and partly with qualitative method. Through documentation, interviewing and questionnaire, we get to know the residents’ religious activity involvement, sense of community and place attachment in Xuzhonging. The study aims to analyze the residents’ temple and area activity involvement and place attachment, and to provide useful suggestions. The major research findings are as follows:
1.Residents with different SAS have significant difference among religious activity involvement, sense of community and place attachment.
2.Residents cannot reveal their personal characteristics. They participate in religious activities just because those activities are attractive. Besides, residents have familiar relationship and are willing to join local activities. Moreover, Shuntian Temple is far more important than other temples, thus functional dependence and local identity will be produced.
3.Residents’ attractiveness and centrality have significant difference between place attachment, and their attractiveness, centrality and sense of community have significant difference between local identity.
To sum up, designing relevant activities, collecting residents’ data, providing communication channels, adapting the time and using the expense well will help Xuzhonging hold temple and area activities.
