It not only affects the quality of life and life-threatening of the aged but also brings burdens and the impact on medical costs in the family and society as well. In clinics, the depression of the elder is evaluated by questionnaires or family history at present. The purpose of this study was to investigate the responses to stimuli of emotional pictures for the elderly with cognitive dysfuction and depression by measurement and analysis tchnologies of multiple physiological signals. We used three questionnaires (mini-mental state examination, montreal cognitive assessment and self-assessment manikin) for cognition function and subjective emotion evaluation, and 6 physiological signals (electrocardiogram (ECG), electromyography (EMG), photoplethysmography (PPG), galvanic skin response (GSR), skin temperature (SKT) and electroencephalography (EEG)) for the objective evaluation of emotional responses. Significant features among total 61 features extracted from 6 physiological signals were statistically selected by Friedman test. The discriminative analysis was used for distinguishing among positive, negative and nature emotions. To compare normal elders with those with different cognitive dysfuction and depression, the results shows that there are significant differences among 3 emotions in the respone of ECG, PPG, EEG, GSR and SKT; however, there are not different among 3 emotions in the respone of the EMG. A poor results of discriminative analysis are not expected. The reasons are that the past live experience and environment result in different responses to a same emotional picture stimulus for old persons. Hou, Chun-Ju 侯春茹 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 78 zh-TW |
