Air Force officers serve as staff officer or cadre in the army after graduation, and then strengthen their professional competencies and accumulate practical experience by all kinds of training courses. After years of enriching their professional skills and strengthening their leadership ability, and then promoted to supervisors, finally served as unit chief officers which are future decision maker in Air Force. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the air force officers’ job engagement and their family relationship, and to explore whether the above relationship and job performance of the air force officers will affect each other.
This study use "work engagement" and "family relationship" as independent variables and "job performance" as dependent variable to explore the relationships between above three variables for Air Force officers. The study bases on comprehensive analysis of the relevant literature analysis results, and uses the questionnaire to collect information, finally uses statistical methods to discuss the relationships among those variables from the statistical analysis results.
This study divides questionnaires into four parts, and that is "job involvement scale", "family relationship scale", "job performance scale", and "demographic data". There are 121 questionnaires were collected, and we have 93.7% valid data. From the correlation and regression analysis with SPSS, the consequences show as below:
1. The relationship between "work engagement" and "family relationship" is positive.
2. The relationship between "work engagement" and "job performance" is positive.
3. The relationship between "family relationship" and "job performance" is positive.
4. Air Force officers' "work engagement" and "family relationship" have partial predictive effect on "job performance".
