Therefore, it is an important research subject to develop a convenient, economical, and fast hydrogen peroxide sensor. Because carbon powder and carbon paste possess conductivity, in this study, carbon powder and carbon paste were used to make the unmodified carbon paste electrode to detect the responding current of detecting hydrogen peroxide. The CV graphs showed that the carbon powder can elevate the responding current of hydrogen peroxide significantly. A study of factorial design involving three factors(operating potential, stirring rate, and pH value of phosphate solution)and two levels was performed to analyze the effect of operating parameters on the sensitivity and average responding current of detection of hydrogen peroxide for the unmodified carbon paste electrode (carbon powder : carbon paste = 1.2:1). The results of analysis of variance showed that the main effects of operating potential ( F = 260.611, p value<0.05 ), stirring rate ( F = 106.297, p value<0.05 ), and pH value of phosphate solution ( F = 263.859, p value<0.05 ) were significant on the sensitivity. The results showed that the optimum operating conditions for this research were operating potential = -350 mV, stirring rate = 700rpm and pH value of phosphate solution = 7.4. At 30℃, the operating conditions of unmodified carbon paste electrode(carbon powder : carbon paste = 1.2:1)were -350 mV operating potential, 700 rpm stirring rate, and pH value of phosphate solution = 7.4. The detection limit was 0.01 mM H2O2, the linear range was 0.01 ~ 3.40 mM H2O2, R2 = 0.9991, the sensitivity was 251.03 µA/cm2.mM H2O2, and average responding current was 3.876 µA.
