Aside from its commitment to delivering this key service, Taiwan Power Company also needs to ensure the proper functioning of electric power transmission and distribution. Equipment maintenance and management, therefore, become major issues in providing a stable energy output. This study aims to construct a new Secondary Station Facilities Management System (SSFMS) for Taiwan Power Company. Without altering the original inspection procedures, the new system inspects SSFMS records to make sure the contents are updated regularly. Specific items to be inspected could be flexibly expanded to include power transformer tests, oil and coal testing records, and equipment checklists, all of which at significantly enhanced access rates. Moreover, to achieve high reliability, the system will generate reminders for inspection and maintenance based on the specified inspection cycle of the equipment in each secondary substation.
