Summary:碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 資訊工程系碩士班 === 105 === This study aims to explore the effects of 7th grade junior high school students with English teaching manipulated by integration of multimedia and conventional teaching method in Kaohsiung remote area Taiwan. In our work, a quasi-experimental research method is applied. The subjects in this study are 17 seventh-grade students of a junior high school in Kaohsiung remote area, who are divided into two groups – experimental group (8 students) and control group (9 students). The teaching implement of multimedia integration is conducted by watching a 78-inch electronic whiteboard in the experimental group ; The teaching of implement of conventional lecture teaching is conducted in the control group. To make sure the subjects’ entry behaviors, the researcher made the first English examination grade in the first term of 7th grade to be the pre-test data. After a 7-week teaching implement, the researcher made the second English examination grade to be post-test data and collected data for analysis. In addition, the researcher had a post interview with the subjects of experimental group in order to know the impact of multimedia integration more. The conclusions are as follows: (1.) There is no significant difference between the two groups in English learning. (2.) Most of the students have positive attitude toward the use of integration of multimedia in English teaching. The suggestions after this study are: (1.) Teachers with integration of multimedia may utilize the teaching materials on the Internet to enrich their teaching. (2.) Schools in the remote area should improve electronic hardware equipment to promote teaching efficiency.
