Summary: | 碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 資訊工程系碩士班 === 105 === Int the past, many scholars have found that reading ability is the foundation of learning, so reading is considered as one of the important basic life skills (Chen Xinyi, Su Yifen, 2011). Based on the advent of the knowledge economy era, reading has become an essential element to life. To cultivate a positive reading attitude in childhood for improving reading literacy is an urgent matter. According to proposed studies on digital reading, the most concentrate on digital reading behavior for the understanding of a particular object (for example, graduate students, teachers, students, etc.). They emphasized the different objects in digital behavioral traits of reading (Sandle, 2013), but rarely realize the conduct digital reading and the digital reading measures of post-secondary education purpose.
In this study, the subjects are students of three classes, who study the post-secondary education of general and vocational departments, in Kaohsiung Kao-Yuan Wenshan Bussiness Vocational School. The students take integration of multimedia reading materials. Then, we observed whether these students can effectively promote changes in attitude of reading or not. The utilization of multimedia teaching can effectively enhance students'' motivation and interest in reading. In the results, the reading attitude performance of students in general departments are better than the studetns of vocational departments. By interviews of teachers and students, regular class teachers and students have positive attitudes to multimedia reading. It can be speculated that the use of multimedia teaching and general comprehension reading enhance general students and low-achieving students in reading positive reading attitude. Multimedia stuffs perhaps enhance the interest in learning, motivation and initiative for students. Therefore, reading attitude recently is in poor conditions, integration of multimedia reading comprehension materials design and the use of multimedia reading comprehension can effectively improve the reading achievement for low reading comprehension of students, as well as enhance the performance of general students in reading comprehension.
