Summary:碩士 === 世新大學 === 智慧財產權研究所(含碩專班) === 105 === Soaring fuel price, environmental awareness, energy saving and carbon footprint reduction were all issues concerning the automotive industry greatly in recent years. Since pure electric vehicles (EV) are still not prevailing due to its high cost and battery deficiency, hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) now become the mainstream in the market. Car manufacturers thus provide various green technologies in haste to enhance fuel economy as well as to cut pollutant emission. In this study, instead of investigating cutting-edge and complicated technologies used in vehicles, we utilize an analysis software to investigate the HEV deployment and usage strategies in Taiwan, Japan, US and Europe as per the current situation. Finally, we conclude the study with the analysis of a lawsuit occurring in US resulting from HEV usage.
