| Summary: | 碩士 === 世新大學 === 觀光學研究所(含碩專班) === 105 === Although Chutzuhu area is located in Yangmingshan National Park, the tourism development tends toward commercialization. For example, frying wild vegetables restaurants and food stands are everywhere. The purpose of this essay is to explore what impacts these phenomena bring to Yangmingshan National Park. Also, to understand the residents’ opinions of community empowerment .The research methods this paper use are literature review, field investigation and semi-structured interviews. The conclusions are summarized as follows:
1. The establishment of Yangmingshan National Park brings not only the development of tourism but tourism impacts. At the economic level: positive shocks are to increase opportunities for recreational purposes, to revitalize the local economy and to create jobs for local people; a negative impact is that only a few people benefit from it.At the social and cultural level: positive shocks are to increase opportunities for recreational purposes, to preserve the Penglai Mi culture; negative impacts are the movement of people with education and skills and a tension relationship among merchants, residents and the management office of Yangmingshan National Park. At the ecological level: a positive impact is to beautify the environment; negative impacts include ecological damage, water pollution and traffic jam.
2. As for the residents’ opinion of community empowerment, younger generation of the residents is unfamiliar with the community empowerment. They do not feel that the environment changes much. Nevertheless, a few residents know that the management office of Yangmingshan National Park promotes the Penglai Mi rehabilitation project and they are willing to cooperate with the government to reproduce the scene of planting Penglai Mi. Besides, Yangmingshan National Park had ever empowered the community of Chutzuhu area. However, because the local residents considered their benefits as the first priority, the community empowerment ended with no concrete results.
