What’s more, it’s possible to make a women president in the 2016 election. It shows that female’s ability and job performance, and even leadership are affirmed. “Fair, righteous and openness” is the slogan of Human Resources Department. However, there are only six female major generals in Taiwan. In this paper, it discusses the factors which affect female volunteer military’s promotion: environment, pressure, family or Glass Ceiling Effect. Since gender equality has been followed out for many years, except for physical limitations such as unsuitable for field force or flight fight cadre, in C.S or C.S.S section, the rate of female volunteer military increased by years. However, the rate of female volunteer military promotion did not increase with it prominently. As a result, I want to discuss the factors of female volunteer military’s promotion and improvement of promotion rule in military. The participants in this study were 461 female volunteer military from combat support, service support, and administrative unit by questionnaire with sampling methods. 58 samples are for pilot test, and the 403 samples are valid questionnaire. With descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, analysis of variance, and regression analysis statics methods verify the relation to willing for retention. To sum up, it is found that female volunteer military are affected by Glass Ceiling Effect, job performance, family support, and promotion mechanism.
