Because of overall economic and trade environment changes, L/C and Collection has been gradually replaced by O/A, offering factoring businesses good development opportunities. Factoring businesses can not only provide an effective solution for the issue of capital turnover, but can help sellers decrease the accounts receivable risk from supposed buyers. This research uses the statistics of the annual report on the FCI(Factors Chain International)website, and utilizing simple regression analysis, investigates the relationship between the import/export trade of Taiwan along with international oil prices and the amount of Taiwanese national accounts receivable. These results display that there is a significant positive correlation between the international oil prices and Taiwan’s factoring businesses, as well as Taiwan’s total trade volumes when compared to Taiwan’s factoring businesses; when the international oil prices rise or when total trade volumes increase, trade volumes of the Taiwanese electronics industry also increases. From the increase of trade in the industry comes a rise in accounts receivable risk and thus, bank should take this opportunity to recommend accounts receivable financing to businesses as a financial management tool used to lower businesses’ accounts receivable risk.
